Step-by-Step Recipe Of Making Egg Pancakes
- Into a chopper or mixer, add all ingredients listed in the recipe card below and give a couple of blitz.
- We’re aiming for a batter that’s both smooth yet retains delicious bits of chewable veggies.
- Remove this in a bowl and set aside.
- Heat pan and, brush it with little oil. On low heat, pour two ladles of above prepared batter and spread.
- Oil the top and sides and turn the pancake over and oil the other side as well if required.
- Cook until both sides begin to brown and the ends turn slightly crisp. Fold into two or three and its ready to be serve.
- This is a snack by itself. But, you could also serve it with curry or chutney in breakfast. As easy as that!

- 3 Eggs
- 1 cup Whole wheat flour (Atta)
- 1 large Onion
- 1 medium size Tomato
- 1 Green chili
- ½ tbsp. chopped fresh Ginger
- 1 tbsp. minced fresh Cilantro | Coriander leaves
- 4-5 Curry leaves
- Salt. as per taste
- ½ tbsp. roasted Cumin seeds powder
- ¼ tbsp. Turmeric powder
- ¾ cup Water
- Oil (1 tsp. for batter and as needed to grease pan)
Instructions
How To Make Indian Style Spicy Egg Pancakes
Into a chopper, add all ingredients and give a couple of blitz.
We need a batter that's smooth as well as, has chew able bits of the veggies in it.
Heat a non-stick or cast iron skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
Pour a ladleful of batter onto the skillet and spread it evenly to form a pancake.
Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until the edges start to brown and bubbles form on the surface.
Flip the pancake carefully using a spatula and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side until both sides are golden brown and crispy.
Remove the pancake from the skillet and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
Repeat the process with the remaining batter until all pancakes are cooked.
Serve the spicy egg pancakes hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
