Dahi, the term which is mostly used to refer curd | yogurt. In Indian Cuisine, dahi is used in many recipes as a main ingredient. They are some recipes which are solely based on dahi like dahi bhalla, lassi, dahi vadas, etc; If you ever happen to attend any South Indian wedding, then in widely spread thali | buffet…you can find many curd based recipes. Among which dahi ki chutney | onion raita | perugu pachadi is a much popular one. You can find this onion raita often served with biryani in many restaurants too. Dahi ki chutney is very simple and easy recipe. There are many variations in making this recipe, but today I am going to share with you a very simple version of making dahi ki chutney or onion raita.

Dahi ki Chutney | Onion Raita
- 150 ml Dahi | Curd, whipped
- 1 big Onion, finely chopped
- 3 Green chilies, deseeded and finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- pinch of roasted Cumin powder
- 3 springs Coriander leaves, finely chopped
- Salt to taste
How to make Onion Raita
PREPARATION:

Squeeze sliced onions and chopped green chilies by adding salt using your fingers.

When onions are soft add curd along with roasted cumin powder and coriander leaves. Mix well.

Last but not least add your ‘love’ to make the dish ‘YUMMY’.
NOTE : To make the chutney more colorful you can add chopped tomatoes and kheera (Cucumber) pieces too.
