Hyderabadi Aloo Korma Recipe
Hyderabadi style aloo korma is simple and satisfying gravy based potato curry. With readily available pantry ingredients, you can make this korma in less than 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- ½ Kg Potatoes, peeled, cubed and par boiled
- 1 Onion, finely chopped
- 2 Green chilies, deseeded and slit length wise
- 1 tsp. Ginger-Garlic paste
- 2 Cardamoms
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 3 Cloves
- 1 tsp Red chili powder
- ¼ tbsp. Turmeric powder
- ½ tsp. roasted Coriander Powder
- ½ tsp. roasted Cumin powder
- 3 tbsp. dry Coconut powder
- ½ tsp. Garam masala powder
- 2-3 fresh Coriander leaves
- 5-6 Mint leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking

How To Make Hyderabadi Aloo Korma Recipe
- In a pan, heat oil and add onions, green chilies, cardamom, clove, and cinnamon. Sauté till onion slices turn light brown.
- Then add ginger-garlic paste and fry till raw smell wafts.
- To this add par boiled potato pieces, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder and mix well.
- In a small bowl make a fine paste by mixing 3-4 tbsp. water, roasted coriander powder, roasted cumin powder, garam masala and dry coconut powder.
- Add this paste to the above mixture. Mix gently. Now add 1 cup of water and stir again.
- Add coriander leaves and mint leaves. Cover with a lid. Cook on a low flame for 15-20 minutes or till the aromas of spices blend with coconut and flavor potato pieces.
- Turn off the flame, when the curry reaches consistency of your choice. Serve hot with fried rice or vegetable biryani or rotis.
