From the time Lil’M started her full time school, I hardly got time to spend with her. So this summer I have not enrolled her in any summer camp or in any summer class….it is just me and Lil’M time…and to my wonder…we already spent half of the holidays…enjoying…painting, playing, dancing, listening to music, reading a lot and cooking in between. Though keeping lil’M busy always is brainstorming job…I am loving the mornings when lil’M stands by side near the kitchen counter spreading Nutella on her toast and babbling non-stop or the smile on her face when I score low during our board games or when she pulls me from the kitchen to sit with her to watch her favourite movie and those endless hours of reading bedtime stories.
Spending time together, we mom and daughter duo made different snacks like besan ladoo, rava lodoo, burfi, murukku, pudding, sandwiches, etc. for lil’M’s doll parties and as a part of evening snacks to munch while watching IPL….As we were watching DIY videos on how to make doll dresses on youtube…Lil’M asked me to make ice lollies seeing one of the video. Even I love ice lollies and it’s been pretty long since I made some…so thought of making them immediately. Making ice lollies with kids is always fun. With little hands helping me out…I made different three different flavours of ice lollies. As mangoes and limes are in season….I made aamras, lemonade and aam panna flavoured ice lollies….If you are fan of ice lollies, then do try these delicious flavours….I am sure you gonna love these…Ice lollies are purest form of indulging chilled juice…..yum..yum…
HOMEMADE ICE LOLLIES
FOR MAKING AAMRAS ICE LOLLIES:
Puree a cup of ripe and juiciest mango chunks by adding little water and sugar. Pour this into popsicle mould or disposable paper tea cups. Insert an ice cream stick and cover it with foil. Leave in the freezer to set.
FOR MAKING LEMONADE ICE LOLLIES:
Take 4 tbsp. of fresh lemon juice, add water, sugar and tiny pinch of salt. Combine well and pour them into the moulds. Leave these in freezer to set.
FOR MAKING AAM PANNA ICE LOLLIES:
Just make aam panna by following this recipe and pour it into the desired moulds and freeze until set.
You can make any number of variations…as strawberries are in season you can even try this Strawberry Masala Pops which are loaded with goodness of strawberries and love….

Barak Allaah feeki for sharing your culinary ideas! I have occasionally flirted with the idea of making ice lollies at home, but thought it would be no good as I don’t own and moulds. Apparently I can use a disposable cup! Might have a go in the foreseeable future and I look forward to it, jazak Illaah khair ❤
your daughter sounds like such a fun companion to have! I love the refreshing shots and the recipes.
