Woohoo! The countdown for the weekly menu planner event kicks off with our Week 42 menu, and I’m truly overwhelmed by the amazing response we’ve received so far. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has generously participated in this event! Today’s menu is curated by the incredibly talented Aparna Balasubramanian from My Diverse Kitchen. You may remember her as a guest writer in Season 2 of Food Photography and Styling, where she shared valuable insights on “Choosing a Tripod.”
When I approached Aparna for this week’s menu, she shared her approach to meals: “We primarily enjoy South Indian rice-based dishes from our native cuisine, but we also love to explore different combinations to keep our meals varied and exciting. Our family typically has five small meals throughout the day, so I’ve organized the menu into five columns. Our mid-morning snack is always a small portion of fruit, and our evening snacks tend to be lighter—unless cravings strike! For dinner, we often opt for something lighter, like soup and bread, which you can easily incorporate into the menu if you’d like.”
