best time to drink smoothie for weight loss
When it comes to the timing of my smoothie consumption, I have a little strategy. If I’m making a smoothie as a mid-evening snack, I usually opt for frozen fruits and vegetables. On the other hand, when I’m making a smoothie for breakfast in the morning, I always use fresh fruits and vegetables. It’s amazing how the choice of fresh or frozen ingredients can make a difference in the texture and flavor of the smoothie.
The best time to drink a smoothie for weight loss is in the morning or as a meal replacement. Having it for breakfast or as a snack helps control hunger and boosts metabolism throughout the day.

Ingredients
- 3 fresh Strawberries, hulled and chopped
- ¾ cup Orange or Pineapple Juice (I used Orange Juice)
- quarter Beetroot, peeled and chopped
- half Carrot, peeled and chopped
- 2 tbsp. rolled Oats
- 2 cups light Coconut milk*
- ½ tbsp. Vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp. Honey, optional
Instructions
How To Make Pink Sunrise Smoothie
Preparation:
- Wash and prepare the strawberries, beetroot, and carrot by chopping them into smaller pieces to ease blending.
Blending:
- In a blender, combine the chopped strawberries, beetroot, carrot, rolled oats, and orange/pineapple juice.
- Pour in the light coconut milk and add the vanilla extract.
- Optionally, add honey for additional sweetness.
- Blend all the ingredients until smooth.
- You might need to blend it for a bit longer due to the presence of beetroot and oats for a smooth consistency.
Adjusting Consistency:
- If the smoothie is too thick for your liking, you can add more orange juice or coconut milk to achieve your preferred consistency.
Garnish and Serve:
- Pour the smoothie into glasses.
- For an extra touch, garnish the smoothie with a slice of strawberry or a sprinkle of rolled oats on top.
- Serve and enjoy your Pink Sunrise Smoothie!
- Add love to make this Pink Sunrise Smoothie taste 'Yummy'.
Notes
NOTE:
when I have time, I add oats to orange/pineapple juice and leave it for 10-15 minutes before putting them in the blender with rest of the ingredients. This makes the smoothie thick and soft.
How To Make Coconut Milk At Home
- To make 2 cups of coconut milk, you need to use half of medium sized fresh coconut.
Scrape or grate the fresh coconut and add ½ cup of water to it. Blend it until smooth. - Pass this through a thin towel or nut milk bag.
- Store this coconut milk in clean and dry air tight jar.
- You can use the pulp in making baked goodies or any gravy based Indian Recipes like Chicken Korma, Machli ka Salan, Drumstick-Raw Mango Curry, etc.
- This coconut milk will stay fresh for 2-3 days. I recommend using it the same day or next day.
- To make light coconut milk, take 1 cup of above made coconut milk and add ½ cup of water to it and blend until smooth.
