If you are following ‘Yummy Food’ on facebook, then you would have known that I am in Chennai….Chennai is where I have moved in a week back for all good…..This is one major move which took nearly 8 months to decide on…..Right now taking time to set my new kitchen and getting adjust to new surroundings….
I moved into new house just a day before my anniversary, the day all went up setting up things and emptying cartons……less cooking in the last week…..as we are yet to get gas cylinder, my cooking has been limited…keeping my induction stove to good use….started my routine cooking slowly…..
Before coming to Chennai, I had chat with Azeema, baker behind ‘The Dessert Hut’…for my wedding anniversary cake….she happily agreed to do it for me….the cake bared Chennai climate for more than 1½ hrs and a slip I think before it reached me. Even though, there was no compromise on taste. I loved the chocolate truffle cake a lot….All thanks to Azeema for making this cake for me to surprise my dear husband on anniversary…..
The flat which we moved in is nearly 15 kms away from city’s hustle and bustle…..Though I had arranged things in my new kitchen; need to re-arrange them in order. This weekend, we thought of sight seeing the new place….so it was a weekend of my kind….went to Phoenix Mall and from there been to Marina Beach….
It was quite late, we reached Marina Beach, so I could not take much pictures of the beautiful sea….The light house near the beach has got elevator, the only light house in India which has got elevator it seems, so got chance to click some aerial pictures from a height of 46 meters. It is just mesmerizing sight to see Chennai from so high…..Never ending sea on one side and endless fast moving life on other…..
