2 cups Wheat flour ¼ tbsp. Salt 3 tbsp. Ghee Water for kneading ½ cup chopped nuts ½ cup Sugar ½ tbsp. Cardamom powder ½ grated dry Coconut Oil for deep frying

Step 1

Make the filling: Combine chopped nuts, grated dry coconut, sugar and cardamom powder.

Make the crust: Combine flour, salt and water and knead into thick dough. Then make small balls and roll into small discs.

Add the filling: Add 1 tbsp. of filling (choba) and seal the edges. Make your choice of pattern on edges. You can even this by cutting with pizza cutter.

Frying: Add these to hot oil and fry on low heat. Fry till puris turn light brown on all the sides.

Add the filling: Remove on a kitchen tissue. Continue and fry all the puris.

Coconut stuffed puris are served with warm sooji (semolina | rava) kheer.
