– ¼ Kg Bhendi | Okra – 1 medium size Onion, peeled and sliced – 1 tbsp Red chili powder – ¼ tbsp. Turmeric powder – Salt to taste – 2 tbsp. roasted Peanuts, optional -Tempering Ingredients

Step 1

– Wash and dry the okra, then slice into roundels. – Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pot. – Add tempering ingredients to the hot oil and let them sizzle until fragrant and lightly browned.

Step 2

– Add sliced onions and fry until translucent. – Add okra, salt, and turmeric powder. Stir to coat the okra. – Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes, then uncover and fry until okra is fully cooked.

Step 3

– Stir in red chili powder. – Add roasted peanuts and turn off the heat. – Serve as a side dish with rice or roti.
