Day by day I float my paper boats one by one, down the running stream.
In bid black letters I write my name on them and the name of the village where I live.
I hope that someone in some strange land will find them and know who I am.
I load my little boats with shiuli flower from our garden, and hope that these blooms of the dawn will be carried safely to land in the night.
I launch my paper boats and look up into the sky and see the little clouds setting thee white bulging sails.
I know not what playmate of mine in the sky sends them down the air to race with my boats!
When night comes I bury my face in my arms and dream that my paper boats float on and on under the midnight stars.
The fairies of sleep are sailing in them, and the lading in their baskets full of dreams.

Inspired by these famous lines….. four industry veterans Neeraj Kakkar, James Nutall, Suhas Misra and Neeraj Biyani coming from varied backgrounds, these Founding Fathers who are also nicknamed as The A-Team and Fantastic Four are the power behind ‘Paper Boat’.
When I first received mail, I was taken away by the simplicity of the marketing strategy, they have come forward with. I was so moved by the mail that I clicked on the link mentioned in the mail which directed me to their website ‘Paper Boat’. I don’t remember how long I spent that evening going through each and every tab and remembering those good old carefree childhood days….where life was so beautiful…. Recollecting all those fun days, happy moments and cherished memories…..
We grew up. We looked back.

Just when yesterday doorbell rang and when I went to find who is it, it was a courier guy, who bought me a box from ‘paper boat’….We in Andhra just started experiencing summer…..you may wonder so soon….but yes…there is change in climate…no more blankets, no more warm clothes, no more late mornings….sun come smiling very early….so it was very bright summer afternoon yesterday when I got this parcel….Lil’M came running to me and asked ‘Mummy is it for your blog???’….smart lil…I said yes….will you show me mamma?? why not…then seeing the drinks she said oh I like violet one…she is learning colors, so these days…she has a new favourite color everyday….
Apart from exhausting power cuts, everlasting exams and happy holidays….summers also carry fruit of the season, king of fruits ‘Mangoes’ ….though the fruit season is just about to start, seeing aamras in the parcel, made my taste buds ooze.
FLAVOURS:
I received four distinct flavours of drinks namely, aamras, jaljeera, jamun kala khatta and aam panna. Jamun kala khatta took me by surprise…this was for the first time I tasted a drink with jamun (jambul). In the first sip, I fell in love with the drink…its spicy, tangy, sweet and delectable….my taste buds craved for more…this jamun kala khatta was taken inspiration a way back from 100A.D., where this drink was called ‘Raga’….now I know why it is called so…The sizzle your taste buds generate when you take first sip of this drink is not less than music….
Aamras, needless to say……absolute bliss. Thick and sweet….When the chill aamras hits your tongue and slides through your throat it is just like therapy…it not only soothes your taste buds but also pampers your senses….
Then I tasted aam panna. I had this once at a restaurant in Bangalore and always thought of trying it, bookmarked some recipes too…but after tasting this yum aam panna, I dropped the plan of trying it out at home…as I am very much pleased with the flavour. Perfect balance of sweetness ,sourness and spiciness.
Last in the list to taste was jaljeera. Nothing can beat a chilled jaljeera on a hot summer day or after heart hefty meal. This is a must….That’s what I am doing….I just had a lavish meal made by mom and sat before my computer to write down this post….bought a pouch of jaljeera with me to wash down the hefty meal down my throat….…the flavour is so awesome, that you will hardly find…. it is a store bought product. Jaljeera is one perfectly crafted drink by ‘Paper Boat’ keeping the varied taste of we people.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS:
I washed the pouches and wiped dry before leaving them in fridge to chill. You can serve directly when chilled or you can pour in glasses filled with ice. If you are having summer brunch party, then place the pouches in a ice tub and place them on a table. Garnish depending on the drink, I have garnished jaljeera with fresh coriander before serving and sprinkled a small pinch black pepper powder to jamun kala khatta before serving. Wet outside rim of a glass with a fresh lime wedge, dab the coated rim in super fine (colored) sugar, slowly turning the glass so that outer edge

The good things about these drinks are,
- They make you soar. I bet when you a take sip, the good old days of school or college come flash by.
- They are no preservatives.
- No artificial colors.
- No artificial flavours.
- Easily degradable pouch for eco-friendly environment
- Easy to carry pouch. You can pack it in lunch box or tuck it in your hand bag when going out.
The one thing I look forward is, they have got only North Indian Flavours in drinks,…wish to see some South Indian drinks like Sugandi, etc., in the near future.

Nice post and lovely review. I can see these packets in the supermarkets, but didn't try any flavor as I didn't know how they tasted. After seeing your review, want to grab all the flavors. Will do that tomorrow…. 🙂
