Leftover Christmas Cake Truffles
Amidst of a break, I was confused and was uncertain whether I could possibly come up with an idea just before Christmas. Well something came up to do with the leftover Christmas Cake or Pudding.
Adapted from a well-known magazine by Donna Hay, here I am with a guest post of truffles. These truffles call for two main ingredients Christmas cake or pudding and dark chocolate.
As Christmas cake is richly flavoured cake, these truffles are full of flavour, taste and feel of festive season.

Christmas Cake Truffles Ingredients
Leftover Christmas Cake | Pudding: Sometimes we end up with crumbs or shavings or cake pieces. This truffle recipe comes in for your rescue at that time. You can even make these truffles with freshly baked cake. These little round cakey pop truffles are sweet treat on any day.
Dark Chocolate: You can use chocolate chips or bar.
Vegetable Oil: Gives shine to truffles.
Orange Zest: Flavours the truffles.
For Coating: You can use gold dust or silver sparkles or crushed nuts or sprinklers, etc.

Dark Chocolate Christmas Cake Truffles Recipes

Easy to make Dark Chocolate Christmas Cake Truffles are delicious and decadent. Cake Truffle is the best bite-size dessert to use up the leftover cake.
Ingredients
- 350 g Christmas fruit cake | Pudding, finely chopped
- 400 g Dark chocolate
- 2 tsp. Vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp. Orange zest
- 1 tbsp. Orange extract (optional)
For Coating
- Gold dust
- Dutch cocoa powder
Instructions
How To Make Dark Chocolate Christmas Cake Truffles
- Place cake | pudding, 200 g melted chocolate, orange zest and extract in a large bowl and mix well to combine.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until slightly form.
- Roll into walnut sized balls. Melt rest of the chocolate and combine it with oil.
- Insert a tooth pick into each ball and dip in the chocolate mixture, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Place on a rack with a tray underneath. Let the chocolate set in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until firm.
- Dust it with gold luster powder or gold leaf.
