MIRCHI BAJJI

STEP 1:

Coarsely grind and make powder of carom seeds and salt.

STEP 2:

Slit green chilies length-wise, remove pith and seeds. Gently stuff the chilies with stuffing.

STEP 3:

Make a thick batter of chickpea flour, salt and baking powder by adding required water.

STEP 4:

Heat enough oil in skillet or heavy bottom vessel.

STEP 5:

Dip the stuffed green chili in batter and coat the chili with batter evenly.

STEP 6:

Carefully drop the coated bajjis in oil from the side of the skillet.

STEP 7:

Fry the bajjis on medium heat by turning until they are completely cooked and look golden in color.

STEP 8:

Using a slotted spoon remove the bajjis and spread them on kitchen tissue. Repeat and complete the batter.
